Our tree :-D We have a tradition of making a new ornament each year. It all started because Daniel's mom made a ton & we were gifted them when we got married. This year was the snowflakes made with popsicle sticks & white buttons.

I figured out a new technique on my camera that allows me to take 5 quick pictures at once! I love it because toddlers DO NOT sit still...Pretty amazing, 'cuz I didn't think our camera did that. LOL Poor Kennedy & Daniel though-I had the camera in their face A LOT! I don't have time to scrapbook right now, so I'm taking pictures like crazy & saving them.

How cute!!! All the FHEs, scripture videos, & prayers are getting through to her :-) I almost teared (sp?) up :-).....Later she looked at her bologna she ate part of and said "Look it's Jesus too!" LOL I said, "Nope-that picture on the wall is"...She thinks old men with beards are Jesus too (or Grandpa) I LOVE being a Mommy!!!

This girl gets into everything! So far last week she has tried on EVERYTHING in her closet EVERY day, jump roped with dental floss & scrubbed the stove with Daniel's toothbrush & apple juice. (It gets it extra clean, right?) Needless to say we have our whole house on Kennedy lockdown! LOL...We don't ever have a dull moment in our house :-)

Silly Kennedy

Kennedy cracks me up! I was working on some stuff for preschool with her today & told her to color with a white crayon...Well she tried it & said, "Mommy it's not workin' " LOL.... She is obsessed with pantyhose too! I guess because she sees me wear them every day she wants to wear them also. Such a little Diva! Also, Daniel always teases her all the time & says "No boys til I'm dead", so every time she gets home & the neighbors across the street are home (college age boys) she yells "Hey boys!" She is a firecracker :-) I wouldn't have it any other way though "-)

Red Sox

So the Red Sox have done it again! Yes they have come back from being down 3 games to 1...now tied at 3-3 they have a chance to go to the world series again to play the phillies. We will see what happens. Kennedy is finally back with the Red Sox again ....I guess that's because the Dodgers are out of it ...haha..anyways if anyone has any ideas for a first dog for Kennedy please let us know...she is really wanting a puppy. We went to the pet store today but they didn't have any puppies.

I am so excited! I saved $8.78 on toothpaste & shampoo! Daniel thinks I'm such a goof, but I LOVE a good sale :-) I'm using this new site www.couponmom.com & have saved a ton on groceries.
P.S. There was a 80% sale at Goody's Saturday...Guess who got some super cute clothes! :-)

The Truth

I am sooo pumped for the Red Sox game tonight! As you can probably tell I am a big fan. Anyways, they already beat the Angels in the ALDS and now they are playing the Tampa Bay Rays in the ALCS. The first game was last night and the Red Sox won 2-0. In the National Leauge series the Dodgers are playing the Phillies. The Phillies have won the first 2 games...I am sure Kennedy is sad....regardless of my many attempts to brainwash Kennedy to like the Red Sox I think she has turned against me :)......she has been asking to watch the Dodgers play lately....go figure....maybe it is because Manny Ramirez was traded to the Dodgers....she keeps saying "let's go Dodgers, let's go!" As you could probably imagine my heart is broken :) I have spent many years (ok ...so maybe 3+ the time in mom's belly..haha) teaching and molding Kennedy to like the Red Sox....and I guess I have failed. Hopefully one day she will turn back to the truth.

Kennedy is so cute :-) She's been saying "I'll be wight back ina minute" & "I'll be back ina secont" & quoting this book "God Gave Us You" a lot lately. The book is about a polar bear momma & poppa having a baby. Kennedy quotes "and bigger...and bigger...and BIGGER" all day. It's the part in the story where the Mommy is talking about her belly :-) I think we've read the book every day for the past 2 weeks! I love moments like these :-) It makes all the tantrums & times she's colored on my walls not so bad. (BTW-our front door is a lovely shade of highlighter pink!)

Exciting News!

I am SO excited! Daniel got offered a job @ FNBB about a week ago & got it :) It's such a blessing! I gotta give y'all some background info....Daniel and I had been looking for a house in Hammond/Ponchatoula area for A WHILE & couldn't find anything. The houses they did have needed repairs/in shady neighborhoods/we just didn't feel 'right' about. We were getting frustrated. I wanted to move to Denham Springs (better schools, closer to the temple), but it didn't seem reasonable with Daniel's job at Whitney so close to home. Well, totally out of the blue one day Daniel got a call from an old boss offering him a job in B.R. (Heck Yeah!) AND we'll be able to build a house in a new subdivision in Watson a mile from PeePaw Russ (my dad). This was definitely a faith building experience :-) Heavenly Father knew what was right for us, it just all came on His time table :-) Here's the link for the house renderings (what it will look like on the outside)

Busy busy busy!!!

Our family has a lot going on right now. Kennedy is growing up so fast! She just made 3 on September 7th...it seems like she was a baby just yesterday. She is currently in pre-school at Westside Baptist and is lmaking lots of friends and loving every minute of it...in fact I think she would rather sleep at pre-school than at home sometimes. She is extremely sassy right now....I guess that comes with being a toddler. Aimee is still at it with her Mary Kay. She is working very hard at earning her free car...her business is kind of slow since the hurricane but I am sure that it will pick up soon. Between keeping up with Kennedy, the house, and Mary Kay she definitely has her hands full. I (Daniel) am about to start a new job with FNBB (First National Bankers Bank) in Baton Rouge. I still have 2 more weeks at Whitney though. This will be a great move for our family. Speaking of moving ...we are planning on building a house and moving to Baton Rouge to be closer to work. We are excited for the chance to finally get a place of our own. I am also still in school at UNO and studying accounting....yes it is far away but normally I take a number of classes online. Unfortunately, this semester I have 5 classes.....and none of them are online. It sure will be nice when I can just work and not have to go to school at the same time. We miss spending time with our friends and family! Please stay in touch and let us know how you and your family are doing!
